*Role: SOA Administrator*
*Location: Oakland, CA*
*Length: 18 months*

*Responsibilities:*

   - Participation in Infrastructure Design, Architectural Design,
   Provisioning Release Design, and Network Design sessions (capacity
   recommendations) for connectivity between Oracle's Data Center and
   Customer's premises;
   - Participation in discussions with OMCS for new installations,
   upgrades, patches and the documentation of procedures as needed;
   - Performance of complex network integration tasks and interoperability
   assessments for interconnected servers or components of clusters for
   communication, as needed.
   - such as installing, configuring and maintaining UCOP systems along
   with recommending architectural solutions.
   - Perform root cause analysis and helps with problem management process
   for incidents. Provide tactical solutions for leverage features of SOA.
   - Provide production support services as required. Provide Oracle SOA
   functional subject matter expertise. Mentor others in application
   functionality and production operations.
   - Collect and document all Customer infrastructure requirements and
   complete the Infrastructure Requirements Document
   - Respond to operational issues while managing internal and external
   customers.
   - Collaborate with Oracle Managed Cloud Services (OMCS) to support
   hands-on deployment and production support for all Oracle Fusion Middleware
   components (SOA, OSB including WebLogic Application server administration).
   - Provide incident and problem management support while adhering to the
   operational Service Level Agreements.
   - Specifies, writes and executes highly complex software and scripts
   such as UNIX shell scripts and JACL scripts to support systems management,
   perform log analysis and other system administration duties



*Required Skills:*

   - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management or a
   related field; or an equivalent combination of education and at least 8-10
   years of relevant experience.
   - 7+ years of experience in Information Technology focusing on
   cross-platform infrastructure technologies, services and product
   implementations.
   - Must have expert level knowledge with Oracle Fusion Middleware and
   Oracle SOA functionality. Knowledge of SOA design principles.
   - Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with 2 years of recent
   implementation experience.
   - Understand the integration of PeopleSoft HCM with other systems
   (PeopleSoft Financials, Campus solutions etc.).
   - Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical
   information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to write technical
   documentation
   - Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.
   Demonstrates problem-solving skills.
   - Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
   - Knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and
   systems to meet business needs.
   - Basic knowledge of how to apply technologies and systems to meet
   business needs
   - Understanding of system performance monitoring and actions that can be
   taken to improve or correct performance.
   - General knowledge of other areas of IT. Thorough understanding of and
   experience with systems-related issues and actions that can be taken to
   improve or correct performance.
   - Demonstrated skills associated with adapting equipment and technology
   to serve user needs. Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of how system
   management actions affect other systems, system users and dependent/related
   functions.
   - Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills and abilities associated with
   system problem identification and resolution. Experience with design,
   configuration, operation, repair, and tuning of technology systems.
   - Advanced experience writing and editing the most complex scripts used
   to perform system maintenance and administration.
   - Advanced knowledge of computer security best practices and policies
   including demonstrated experience securing most complex server-based
   software.
   - Demonstrated understanding of security concepts and experience writing
   UNIX shell scripts.
   - Ability to learn new systems (UC, 3rd party).



*Preferred*

   - 5+ years of experience with Apache/IHS/IIS web server administration.
   Demonstrated expertise with trouble shooting J2EE applications on
   Unix/Windows systems.
   - Experience with SOA, WebLogic, CMS
