Hi everyone,

I am a new user. I have some related questions on SIESTA executive program
First, If you use COOP.write .true. the siesta program will omit the pdos block
calculation. I saw it because I could not find the systemname.pdos after the
convergence.
Second, I think I got something wrong with the gen-basis utility. when I try to
generate bases for cations in Gen-basis/Tests I have the following error:
At line 792 of file ....siesta-3.0-rc2/Util/Gen-basis/../../Src/fdf/fdf.f (unit
= 5, file = 'stdin')
Fortran runtime error: Illegal seek
I check the file fdf.f but at line 792 but I did not see this. I guess that
this may be of gfortran compiler. But another question arise: I compile serial
siesta on amd athlon ii 215 dual-core processor, 3 GB Ram with gfortran. I run
all tests and also my own calculations and check the results for examples:total
energy, dos, pdos and COOP/COHP with other results from Quantum Espresso and
TB-LMTO-ASA. They are almost similar. So I guess nothing wrong from my
installation with gfortran. It make me confused why gen-basis utility did not
work properly.
Thanks for reading
