Dear Siestra users,

the manual for STM-1.0.1 software (included in siesta-3.0.b) states, that
the output of STM software is in
*) Siesta grid format (binary file with same format as RHO, LDOS)
*) Gaussian Cube format (only for tetragonal systems)

My system is hexagonal so that Gaussian Cube file is not printed.
With siesta grid format the drawback is that it can be viewed only with
WSXM.
I need, for example, integrate the STM output in XY slices stacked in
Z-direction, which is impossible with WSXM.
Therefore I would prefer formatted (human readable ASCII) STM file, which I
can process myself.
Does anybody know how to modify/compile STM software so that it can output
formatted STM file?

Regards
Ruslan
