hi Fatemeh, are you study in Iran? DO you instal siesta completly? at the end of instalation you have to put the copy of executable siesta into your bin that when you type its command your computer know it. or put it in the folder whcih you are going to put your fdf fileand the psudeo potention that you need in that. if you the executable siesta into the bin folder, then you can open a terminal from the folder that you put your files in. After that you just have to type siesta < yourfile.fdf | tee outputfilename or Siesta < yourfile.fdf > outputfilename By the first command you can see the siesta calculation on your terminal. But if you just want to put its excecutable file into the folder that you put your files that I mention here you have to type
./siesta < yourfile.fdf | tee outputfilename Best wishes, Zahra ________________________________ From: sf kshp <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, September 26, 2011 2:33 PM Subject: [SIESTA-L] Fwd: help to run siesta ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: sf kshp <[email protected]> Date: Wed, Sep 21, 2011 at 9:55 PM Subject: help to run siesta To: [email protected] Dear, Hello siesta, I have best wishes for you.
