[SIESTA-L] How to add background charge for charged system in siesta-2.0.2?

Dear siesta users,

    How does siesta-2.0.2 add background charge for charged system? In 
siesta-3.1, the doping module has been used to deal specifically with this 
problem. But, I found that this moldule (SimulateDoping) have high effects on 
the total energy calculations for charged system, especially, doped slabs.

    Why?
