thanks for the advice. I fully agree with your point that one should carefully check that for different systems before going on to something like I/V curves. I tried to do that for my system and used and electrode with either 3 layers or 6 layers of Au and got small differences. In this I case I would have said that they were negligible. But this could be different for other systems.
