I had the same issue on a mac cluster many years ago. If I am correct, SIESTA will try to read a default file called INPUT_DEBUG.fdf. So if you give your file with this name, you may be able to run your calculations. You can grep this filename on the source files (or a similar combination) to make sure it tres to load it. It worked for me but again this was back in 2005 or so.
I imagine the SIESTA team could also give you more details. [On a simpler note, are you trying to run with the command on your e-mail, or rather with something like: mpirun -np 2 ./siesta <infile.fdf ? perhaps siesta needs the fdf extension and mpi a number of cores? Just some additional things for you to check.] ________________________________ From: [email protected] [[email protected]] on behalf of Iván Pulido [[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, August 06, 2013 8:48 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [SIESTA-L] mpirun issue Is the "infile" available in the same route for all the machines in the cluster? I wonder whether there is an other way to input file. I had a similar issue with an other application and fortunately it was possible to use a "-in" option. I did not find any of such possibility with siesta but I may be wrong. Well, in case the only way is to redirecting the input, does anyone know how to handle this issue with mpirun?
