Dear Community Members,

This email is to inform you that an Inter-RIR transfer policy proposal was
recently posted to the LACNIC mailing list and is currently under
discussion. The proposal described in "LAC-2015-2: Inter-RIR Transfers"
aims to allow organisations to transfer space into LACNIC from another RIR
so they can build more networks in the LACNIC region.

   https://mail.lacnic.net/pipermail/politicas/2015-April/016888.html

Some important points mentioned in the proposal were:

   - IPv4 transfers will be allowed between LIRs and end-users in the
LACNIC region to and from parties outside the region.

   - The source of the transfer will be ineligible to receive IPv4
delegations from LACNIC for a period of one year.

   - LACNIC recipients must demonstrate need for up to a 24-month supply of
   IPv4 address space.
