Dear colleagues, As an outcome of the APNIC 61 Joint SIGs Session <https://orbit.apnic.net/hyperkitty/list/[email protected]/thread/YF2IEMUHFW5WQ5S2EVW227DBH3A3SXPL/#YF2IEMUHFW5WQ5S2EVW227DBH3A3SXPL> on the review of SIG Guidelines, the SIG Guidelines Review Working Group (WG) was established and convened its first meeting on 3 June 2026.
The Working Group would like to share the following updates with the community. - The WG consists of Gaurav Kansal (India), Joy Chan (Taiwan), Terry Sweetster (Australia) and Om Prakash Sharma (Nepal). - The WG members decided to appoint Gaurav Kansal as the Chair and Joy Chan as the Co-Chair of the Working Group. - The WG agreed to the proposed timeline in the Term of Reference (attached), with a first draft due by the end of June and final recommendations to be published in early August ahead of APNIC 62. - Members will review all background materials individually before discussing potential changes and recommendations at the next meeting. - The WG confirmed that recommendations may include retaining the current SIG Guidelines if no changes are deemed necessary. - Community inputs will conclude prior to APNIC 62, with no new feedback accepted during the consensus process at the conference in Mumbai.
