I've got reiserfs on / (root) since i installed with kernel 2.4.8. It works very well except there are some kupdated bugs or somesuch which lags up everything when there is a lot of disk activity. I tried 2.4.9 and it didn't boot because it said something like vfs kernel panic can't mount root. This is supposed to mean that the initial ramdisk wasn't being loaded, but i checked everything 5 times, lilo.conf , the initrd files, and it was all in order. I waited for 2.4.10 and still the same problem. Dunno what to do now.
