hm..after I came home from work today, I found out that I can not log in.
when I tried to log in, this message pop up,
The system is going down on Fri Nov 6 12:49:10 1998
and. only ID that I can log in is root..I am pretty sure somebody get in
because my system was rebooted. my system has about all the basic server,
like ftp, telnet, web. there are a lot of people connecting to my machine
each day, so I can't really monitor /var/log/security. is there other log
that I can monitor later on after I re-install this...I was using RH 5.1
I know there is a mailing list for security holes...can someone give me
some direction to that list..thanks
