This entry in printcap should get the job done. Make sure the redhat
system can find the hostname of the printer, and make sure that the
printer has been assigned the correct IP address (this can be done from
the printer's console).

In this case the printers "hostname" is hp5m.  The IP address in
/etc/hosts must match the one stored in the printers NVRAM.  Also make
sure that the router and subnet mask (in the printers NVRAM) are properly
configured.
