Actually, my suggestion would be to use the netcfg tool that comes with
RedHat...It works beautifully for me and everyone else I've set up with
it...
Advice: be sure to turn on debugging, and watch your /var/log/messages
while you connect.  Look into a program called root-tail after you get it
working...
