I played around with this some. A quick and dirty fix would be to set
yourself as the owner in /etc/fstab with the "uid=[your UID]". That
would make all files in the partition owned by you and would stop those
messages. I tried it on my own system and it worked.
It still poses a problem if others are trying to read/write to your
FAT/VFAT partition.
