if ('xmacs' == 'xemacs'):
        I remeber having this problem once. I think there was something
        wrong with my .Xdefaults file. I may have been using a
        system-wide initialization file, and it expected some environment
        variable to be set or couldn't handle the way one of the
        emacs.geometry lines were specified were specified in .Xdefaults
        or some such initialization file.

        Anyway, the point is that it wasn't some horrible problem with the
        xemacs binary or anything. It was just a little problem with
        syntax or something in some start-up file. Poke around. Comment
        out lines until xemacs works. Then pinpoint the lines which give
        xemacs trouble, and fix them. I'm sorry I can't remember the
        problem and solution any more specifically than that.
else:
        What's xmacs aliased to?
