i've had it happen at least once for other reasons, and never for that
reason. lilo supports booting off of any size disk that i've ever heard
of---i just set it up on a 11G disk a few weeks ago.
the geometry and the size are totally different issues, unfortunately.
i hate hardware. especially hardware that can be desribed as "IDE"
