I didn't realize that there would be linuxconf defenders out there.
What's wrong with linuxconf?

A) Menus nested 10 levels deep in semi-random fashion?

B) Makes distribution-dependent changes to your system without telling you
what it's doing?

C) Doesn't even work for half the stuff you try and use it for?

D) Is inconsistent?


That should be enough.  If someone wanted to show a canonical example
of how NOT to design a UNIX system administration tool, linuxconf would be
it.
