You need the blackdown port for linux boxes.  I assume that you have sun
at home since you tried the one from sun's site. At UT, the software is in
/p/bin for Linux and Solaris architechtures.  Keep in mind that whoever
maintains that software has jdk1.1.7 for Linux installed and jdk1.2 for
Solaris (the actually Linux jdk is in /public/jdk1.1.7-linux and Solaris
stuff actually resides in /public/jdk1.2. The IRIX boxes don't have them
installed at all.
