I just spent ~$80 on a Tekram card, it has a symbios logic chipset and
works pretty well.. right before that I took back a $75 Initio card that
is basically equiv. to an adaptec 2940UW b/c I thought it was
incompatible, i went to recompile my kernel and saw options for several
initio modules, no comment on how well it works but I'm sure it works
fine, $75 ain't bad.. if you have mad cash get a real AHA-2940UW, though
that isn't the only game.. hell I think VA's VARstations use cards similar
to mine, I know the ones we had at comdex used an ncrsomethingorother
module, which is what my card uses, or similar..
