Hey everyone..
I'm using RH6.0 and when I type "startx" at the command line, the
program takes a long time to boot. A switch to the main screen reveals this
error message:
gnomeUI warning
Authentication rejected reason MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 authentication
rejected
I am currently "root" and need to make sure root has 'cookie authority'
(?). According to "Remote X Apps mini-HOWTO: Telling the Server" from the
RedHat site, I need to change the authentication in the
/usr/X11R6/bin/startx file.. How would I go about doing this properly?
