I have been trying, without much success, to learn how to use gimp
to create simple menus and graphics for web based tools. In talking
to others, it seems that I am not the only gimp-challenged person out
there. I am sure there are some experts on this list. I wonder if
perhaps we could organize a short gimp tutorial that would cover the
basics and help save the world from ugly graphics. I am willing to
bet that I would not be the only one interested.
Failing that - I wonder if anyone can comment on the new gimp book.
I have not seen it at any of the local bookstores, so I do not know
what it is like. If you have seen the book, do you think it would be
a good book for the absolute beginner?
