Not sure, but do a rpm -ql gdm.
gdm.conf is in /etc/X11/gdm/ on my RH 6.0 system.
It looks like you might just be able to drop a new script into
/etc/X11/Sessions and restart gdm. That's what a quick skim of
/usr/doc/gdm-1.0.0/gdm-manual.txt seemed to imply.
