I'm far from an authority on this, but if I recall correctly
http://rlz.ne.mediaone.(com? net? sorry one of those two) has lots of
information on firewalls/proxy stuff for linux, and I know that it had
information on how to configure non-*nix OSs to use the linux server. I
dimly recall that it had information on running VPN over it too. I know
that work is being done on implementing VPN for linux, but that's pretty
far from my area of experience....
