Its a horrid myth. I've been spec'ing out a server at work for
Solaris x86, and run into all kinds of irritating hardware non-support
problems? Ultra2 SCSI? Barely. Intel NIC on a mobo? nope. RAID? Barren.
The only good news is support is better than for DEC Unix.
