I understand that the dorm is wired for 100mb. Just that either a router or some
hardware may be lacking. Roomer has it that it is wired for 100mb but they did
not want to have to force people to buy the 100mb cards (That every one should
buy anyway. Not the 5-10 dollar ones that some purchased.) Another example of
some suffering for the good of the few.
I do think that this 6 buck charge will start to make some people take the
network seriously and not think of it as a cool way to play games. But really
try and network some computers together and start learning. I would not mind
paying 20 if it would get some of the people off that just use it for chatting
and e-mail. And those who have the latest and greatest CPU but use it like a
nintendo.
