the best way i've heard of is with a hardware memory tester gizmo.  i hear
chipsmart has one of these theyll fire up for you for $2 or something.

if anone knows others who will test memory for one, plese inform..
i'm not really interested in setting foot in chipsmart..

software is prone to not catching all errors, but theres a linux prog
called "memtest" that might help you out.  sorry, i don't have a URL
handy but i found an RPM via rufus.w3.org.
