anyway know why vmware is so slow when using a raw disk partition as
opposed to a virtual drive?
I'm going to take a risk and expose myself here - I'm trying to get it
working in windows b/c I have fbcon enable din my kernel, and it doesn't
support the #9 REvolution IV card that I'm using - I can't use another
card b/c I've got these SGI flat panels on loan and I don't have a monitor
right now - I'm trying to compile a new kernel w/out fbcon so that I can
boot up linux again - it isn't going well ;p it takes like 10 minutes to
install a small rpm sometimes, or it'll lock up while logging in..
I need help to get back into a sane environment ;p
