I used to have a Adaptec SCSI card that used the
aic7xxx.o driver. I just bought a Tekram DC-390F and have to use it instead of
the Adaptec. So is it as simple as changing in the "/etc/conf.modules" the
"aic7xxx" to the "ncr53c8xx"? I tried that, and at bootup it still has a kernel
panic as it tries to load aic7xxx. What step am I missing? Do I have to
recompile the kernel? I can't even get Linux up, I have to boot off the Red Hat
CD and then in the installation go to a shell and change stuff that way...I'm
running out of ideas!
