This isn't really a Linux question, but close enough:

I just installed joe on my ccwf account. Yeah, I've never learned to
appreciate vi or emacs--whatever <G>. Good ol' joe works fine, but I can't
read the man files. I set up a ~/man directory and edited the joe makefile
to install it's man into ~/man. Now, when I try `man joe`, I get:
        No manual entry for joe.

I did `manpath` and saw that my manpath includes my ~/man
directory--although I don't remember doing anything to add that to my
manpath after making the ~/man directory... wierd. So, I've got ~/man in my
manpath, and a "joe.1" file is in my ~/man directory, so why can't I read
the man file for joe???
