now I've thought for years that people claiming to get mail from the
mailer demon returnung their mail, unsent, were either silly or
ignorant. after all, aren't all *nix servers run by daemons
(day-mons) anyway? the http daemon, the ftp daemon, etc.
Now on friday someone told me that daemon is how the english spell demon,
the little scary guys (or if you use bsd, the cute scary guy) resembling a
devil. Can someone please set me straight? the httpd,ircd,ftpd, etc are
all daemons (day-mons) right? and the mailer daemon is just another daemon
(day-mon) right? not a programmer with a funny bone?
