I'm constantly seeing the following in /var/log/syslog:

Jan 17 16:25:37 ethereal icmplogd: destination unreachable from cadet.woodward.edu
[38.177.147.6]
Jan 17 16:26:58 ethereal icmplogd: destination unreachable from [38.182.163.1]
. . .

What, exactly, does this mean? Does it mean that my system has been
compromised and something is trying to connect out, and the cracker
did a bad clean-up job? Or, is it a local daemon which is trying to
connect to something? If so, how can I track the offending program
down and fix/kill it?
