        Sure. Any *ISA* *NON-WINMODEM* should work just fine. Even better
if you can switch off the PNP and just jumper the address/irq. I've had
success with AOpen and Jaton (and Diamond before everything went
winmodem.) Except to pay $40-$60. 

        I'm told that there exist PCI non-winmodems. Haven't tried them.
These were cheeper.
