A month ago I went on a major search to find the best collocation deal in
Austin, which I found, so I thought I would pass the information on to the
list. An added bonus is that they're an all linux shop, relatively linux
knowledgeable, and close to campus. In fact, they're pretty knowledgeable
in general, which is a major plus, given some of the knuckleheads I talked
to while cruising through the yellow pages. (One of the companies with a
1/4 page ad didn't seem to understand the distinction between a T1 line
and collocating a box - it took 10 minutes of discussion and 3 transfers
to get an applicable quote out of them.) I'm a little worried that I
might be cutting my own (bandwidth) throat by letting the cat out of the
bag, but the ISP assures me that they'll increase the size of their pipe
if they ever start to max out their current connection. They also seem to
have the best DSL rates, for what it's worth. My motivation for spamming
the list with a shameless plug, by the way, is I want to make sure they
stay in business, since the next best deal in Austin is around 3 times as
expensive; so

The only drawback is that in a month or so they will be going to an all
rackmount collocation system and will probably require colloc boxes to
come in at 3U or less, but again, the price seems to be way below everyone
else.
