ok i got xf4.0, compiled it, installed it. everytime i use something that
would make use of the shape extensions in Xlib i get error messages that
the "SHAPE" extension is missing. people have told me to "load the
"extmod"
module in XF86Config" but when i examine this file and it's differences
with
the old config file i see the following:
# This loads the miscellaneous extensions module, and disables
# initialisation of the XFree86-DGA extension within that module.
SubSection "extmod"
Option "omit xfree86-dga" # don't initialise the DGA extension
EndSubSection
it looks like this loaded extmod, which i guess includes the SHAPE
extension.
has anyone figured this out yet?
