And this doesn't happen when you don't use esound? You can try changing
the buffer settings. You can also try using an alternate mp3 player. I
take it you are using xmms? xmms is very system-intensive. I use mpg123
(a command-line program) with the gqmpeg front-end and it uses 1/2 the
resources xmms uses. Try that. (Although the last time I checked, about 6
months ago, gqmpeg did not support esound, and I had to set mpg123 to
pipe the wav output to STDOUT and pipe that in to esound.)
