Or use the mtools suite of utilities (installed by default on RH I
know for sure).

mdir a:
(prints the equiv of "a:\DIR(enter)"
mcopy a:\filename.drv .
(copies from a: to . some file)
etc.
As a side note, if you run DOSEMU for anything (mmm, old dos games) you
can define the dosemu disk image as another drive in the dosemu.conf file
(I use n:, so I can do something like:
mcopy ~/old_dos_game.zip n:
and have it work. :^) )
