mounting across multiple partitions

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to do this....say you're adding drive space to your /home
mount point and you've added a disk, partitioned it, and now you want to mount
/home across the old disk partition and also across the new partition....you can
do this in Unix right....so I would assume you could in Linux?
