It could be anything when you overclock. When you run the system
out of spec at the high load, perhaps the microprocessor only messes up
specific instructions used commonly in linux [protection modes, etc]...
I doubt that you will do permanent damage, but I wouldn't trust
any results out of the machine while overclocked.
