  I did for a while, but I changed to the disk image.  It's much more
convenient.  (being able to backup the system by copying files, for
example)

  I don't recall it being difficult to set up.

  VMWare presents virtualized devices to your OS and not the real
devices.  So, if you switch out then to your OS it will appear that
all your hardware has changed.  This may not be a convenient thing,
depending on your setup.

  It is much quicker to boot VMWare than to reboot your system.  :)

  Seriously, I'm using the old VMWare, not 2.0 and performance is
acceptable but not astounding.  I've heard the 2.0 VMWare blazes.  There
is no substitute to trying it outfor yourself.  You can download a free
eval copy and see if it works for you.

  The main requirement I have noticed is the need for LOTS of memory.
Running 2 systems simultaneously is not cheap.  The more memory you have
the happier you will be.
