OKay, here is what happened.
One day as I was living in bliss
between Win 2000 and Redht 6.2, I decided that I didnt' like Win 2000 and I
wanted it off my machine. As I proceeded to install Win 98, it re-wrote the MBR
on my HD and installed itself in the windows partition. It left the linux
partition alone. So far so good. When I realized that Lilo no longer existed, I
decided to reinstall LILO from my redhat CD. Well, impatient to get back to my
cherished linux, I accidently forgot to uncheck the "format partition" box and
it effectively destroyed my linux partition in favor of a new one. Thinking that
I could save it, I restarted my computer in the middle of the format....not a
good thing to do. Well, that didn't work (Win 98 just booted up again), so I
decided to completely reinstall Redhat completely... format and all. So I
unleashed it and decided to go eat. When I came back, the computer installed
everything, but froze on the completion of the last install package. So then I
tried moving the mouse. A little window popped up saying "Performing post
install configuration" and then it froze for good. So I restarted, and my
computer froze upon bootup with the letters:
LI
I think Lilo wasn't fully
installed. Thinking it was because my cd was a little scrateched, I borrowed a
friends CD and tried it again. Same exact thing happened. So then I tried
installing via text mode. It worked out fine, except for the very end again,
when it gave me the following error message:
Exception error occured:
File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 342,

And then it freezes again.
