This is only indirectly related to Linux but...

The group of housing co-ops to which I belong is going to be installing
Ethernet jacks/cabling in all the rooms of all its houses. The bigger
houses (100+ people) will probably have T1 connections while the smaller
ones are going to have DSL connections (at least for now) to the
Ethernet infrastructure. We're looking for an ISP that can assign us a
set of static IPs and can track the usage through each address. We would
also like to be able have residents contact the ISP directly to arrange
their accounts, so that we don't have play the middleman in terms of
service. However, we're hoping to contract with only one company for all
the houses. Good support is important because we have a relatively low
tech staff and may have upwards of 300 accounts.

I'd like to find out (1) if anyone has any suggestions for companies which
could do this sort of thing and/or (2) your experiences with these
companies. Also, if you work for such a company and would like to make
a bid, please email me directly, and I can forward to you the contact
information for our manager. Thanks!

Bringing Ethernet (and Linux)
to the poor, huddled masses,
