Hmm. I don't see that error here either (Debian 2.2 with some 2.3
stuff thrown in). But, I see the following in
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/devices.txt:
108 char Device independent PPP interface
0 = /dev/ppp Device independent PPP interface
And I have a /dev/ppp which looks as follows:
crw------- 1 root dip 108, 0 Aug 14 19:43 /dev/ppp
I don't really know what the point of this is; aren't the PPP
interfaces dynamically created? *shrug*
