Arif,

Ok, I don't know much about Linux OpenGL / Glide support for the
Voodoo3. (Every time I try and mess with that stuff I end up breaking X
- I think that demonstrates my level of expertise with Linux (or lack
thereof) ).

I can speak for Voodoo3 any of the Windows OS flavors. I absolutely
love my Voodoo3. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. All I can
say about 3dfx's drivers is they always seem to work. Even on my
(supposedly) touchier Athlon System. I don't know if it's worth
shelling out the cash for a new one though because the performance is so
far behind the times.

My roommate has an off branded GeForce card (LeadTech) and his stuff is
forever crashing. I think that is more of a function of LeadTech's
crapy driver support, not the chipset itself in anyway.

My advice is to definitely stick with a card manufacturer that is know
for making reliable cards.

Hope that helps,
-James
