Hey guys,
I'm a realtive newbie that is wanting to setup a firewall under RH 7.0 from
my readings it appears that "less is more" on the initial install. It states
that you should install bare minimum so as to lessen exposure to unneeded
programs with possible holes. Does anyone have a list of specific install
options they would recommend for a network firewall that needs to act as a
DHCP server, and possible postfix server? My basic security stratagy has
been to use Easy Firewall to manage the firewall via IPchains and Masq;
Tiger 2.2.4 from TAMU for basic exploits, Logcheck to log weird activity,
and Tripwire for alerts and restores. I feel like I'm floundering a bit so
any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
