I'm running 2.4 (quite nice, btw :-) ), and when I installed I
noticed that they put the modules in a slightly different place
(i.e. /lib/modules/2.4.0/kernel/drivers/X/Y for X category Y.o module
instead of the old /lib/modules/(version)/X/Y), so my modutils wouldn't
find the modules. I have modutils 2.3.11-8 (debian potato). Is there a
new version out that handles this natively (I fixed it by making symlinks
from /lib/modules/2.4.0/ down into the kernel/drivers subdir and rerunning
depmod -a IIRC, which is a cheap hack but it works)?

Mike
