It's a linking problem. I'm using SDL and SDL-devel which are both
installed on the target machine. All of the object files compile
correctly but the linking fails with LOTs of unserolved errors
for SDL_x11**** function calls. So I wanted to check that all
of the libraries are in the right place and have the right stuff
in them. I just realized that I installed SDL-1.1 and SDL-devel-1.0.
