This is interesting... I wonder if bugtraq might not have information on
it more recent than 97 because in many cases it's use is deprecated?
With the advent of many other forms of chat and instant messaging, talk is
really antiquated, and the others are pretty much all client-server with
some also having client-client modes so that you a) have a server where
the vulnerabilities might reside and b) have to all connect to the server
to find each other.
If you want to run your own server, jabber looks interesting.
