Today at 10:11am, paul nichols expounded:
++ why does single user mode in debian demand the root password and how do I
++ get around. and I already know i'm a dumbass for forgetting my root
++ password, so that is not something that I need to be reminded of.
It Just Does. What you can do is pass ``init=/bin/sh'' to the kernel as a
command line option. Then when you boot all you will get is a shell.
You'll have to mount the drives on your own, etc.
