IEEE-CS used to have one of these connected to one of its Linux machines that scrolled messages across the inside of the entrance to ENS. I think their office has moved since I graduated, but they still have info about it on their website:

These are pretty simple devices, so writting a controller would probably
easy, assuming it does use some sort of serial/usb connection. So, linux
support is probably not explicitly needed.


Anywho, google had a bunch of hits, but I just wanted to know if any one
knew of anything before I go wading through the madness.
