The NIC is a 3Com EtherLink III 3C509B-TPO. As far as the IP address, it's assigned by DHCP.
The video card is a 3dfx Voodoo 3 card, which, like the network card are compatible with RedHat 9. The error that I have been getting with regard to the error starting up Xwindows is that the mouse isn't being found or something along those lines. I would like to post the error messages as they are contained in a log file but since my NIC is down and it seems as though when I say "mount floppy" at the cmd line it says that it can't be found in the /etc/fstab file. However, when I looked at that file it seemed as though there was a line about my floppy drive in there, so I'm not really sure what's going on with that either. Thanks for the help.
